ejecting tapes in hp openview data protector version5.10

Hello,
I have never used HP openview data protector, but my new job uses it at one site. I need to eject tapes for offsite back up. When I right click on the slot and choose eject I get the 90:221 error no mailslot defined. Is there a way to get around this or do I need to define a mailslot? If I do need to define a mail slot, how is that done?
