email notification of new files in a folder

Hi, i am looking for a piece of software that will email individual users when they have new files placed in their home directories, obviously the software will need to monitor each users folder and then email the seperate users email address with a notification, we have tried folder watchdog but need another solution if anyone knows of any? Thanks
