Email Policies

I am curious what kind of policies various people have in regards to their mail system and how they enforce those policies. I am speaking in terms of mailbox sizes mostly. Do you have limits set on mailbox sizes, retention time limits, attachment size limits, and/or forcing users to move attachments out of the mail system? How do you enforce these policies? Add-on mail server software? Mail server software alone? Other?
