Entry level positions – Where are they?

After coming to my senses and abandoning a Ph.D. program in music history, I decided to follow my other passion, the world of computing, and pursue a career in IT. Of course, I heard all the radio adds promising great results once one achieved MCSEcertification, so I followed that route.

Now that I am certified, it seems here in the Seattle area everyone wants experience 2 to 5 years before you can even be considered.

My question is, with all the growth in the industry, and given there must be plenty of entry level positions to fill the growth, where are they?
