ESM and mailbox consumption

by botleyc . Updated 23 years, 4 months ago

I manage an Exchange 2k enterprise server. One of our clients used a third-party tool on his home laptop to sync his offline calendar folder to his office desktop calendar that somehow increased its size to 70+MB, which exceeds our space limits. I made several attempts to reduce the contents of his calendar, including completely removing all of its contents, but both the Outlook client and ESM still registered it as being 70+MB in size. However, if I exported the contents to another account’s calendar, the folder size was must less (only about 7-8MB). My last resort was to completely remove the calendar using the Exchange MDBVU32 utility and then replaced it with a clean copy. That worked for the Outlook client, but ESM still sees this client’s account as exceeding our space limit of 50MB. How do I go about reducing this account to its actual size?
