Event Viewer alerts, services not workin

I’m a student studying for my MCSE. I have a two machine network at home: 1.W2K Pro. and the other is NT4 Server. My Windows 2000 is working finr and connects to the net. My server (just for leaning) is comming up with Event Viewer Alerts, W3SVC/MSFTPSVC/GOPHERSvc/Service Control Manager…and Dhcp. lots of Alerts. When I click on Cntrl panel> Network> Services> and workstation service I get : Cannot Configurethe software component. I’ve reinstaled TCP/IP and the NIC cards… what can I do, please explain !
