Excel 2003 and Excel 2007 Compatability

I am running Excel 2003 alongside Excel 2007. I would like the Excel 2003 to be the default version that opens xls files when I double-click on them. Right now, Excel 2007 tries to open them. How can I fix this? My e-mail is ruthbbraun@gmail.com. Thank you.
