Excel Graph in Word expanded automatically

I am using Visual Basic to create a chart using excel object, copy the chart and paste it in a word document. When the user open the document and click on the chart to edit it, the chart get expanded automatically. This happen occassionally and is not all the time. Any one faces the same problem or have any way to prevent this? Thanks in advance
