Excel mail merge problem

I am using Excel 2002 as the data base for word 2002 mail merge. My operating system is Windows XP, SP2. The problem I am encountering is that some of the text entered into the cells is not merged into the main document. I have stayed well within the 409 line limit for the cells content. I would appreciate any suggestions that may help.
