Exch 5.5 Directory re-build from NT on-l

We have 2 Exchange 5.5 SP3 servers in our “site”. The secondary server, with a couple of important mailboxes, died. I’ve since rebuilt the server, but have not installed Exch. Should I install it as it’s own site or into the existing and try to recover the mailboxes?
