I added a new user (jdoe) in Exchange 2007, but cannot find this new user in the Global Address List. I manually updated the Offline Address Book, I can see the jdoe account in OWA and with Cache mode disabled in Outlook. With Cache mode enabled, jdoe cannot be found.
I ended up disabling the jdoe account in AD, and removed the account from Exchange. I then noticed jdoe was moved into the Disconnected Mailbox inside the Exchange Management Console. I ended up reconnecting the disconnected mailbox, however, after reconnecting jdoe was still missing in the Global Address List. Finally, I manually removed the disconnected mailbox using the get-mailboxstatistics command and created a brand new jdoe account. With the brand new jdoe account, jdoe is still missing in the Global Address List. Also the user properties has the “hide from address list” unchecked.
I created a brand new account, different user name etc. and I can’t find this new account as well.
Any help on how to fix this issue in regards to finding a solution to view new users in the Global Address List?
