Exchange 5.5 Relay Problem

I am using Exchange 5.5 and i am still having relaying problems. I have set it up to the Technet article from Joseph Neubauer “Is Your Exchange Server Relay-Secure?” But then i can’t send email to people out of domain.
Can anyone help?
