Exchange Migration

Looking for a migration path for my Exchange server from NT to 2000 domains. The catch is in the act that the current Exchange is running on the NT4 PDC taht will NOT be upgraded to 2000 Main DC after ADPromote.

Any ideas? MS knowladge base was not helpfull…
