Exchange tracking

Has anyone installed software to monitor exchnage, traffic patterns, and maybe parsing for certain words or phrases? What is the cheapest way to do this vs. the best way. I have played with some software from Seagate, but haven’t gotten it to read my tracking files correctly. Any advise?
