Situation (For a very long time now. And we have 2 incidents of this): A specific user sends out a meeting invitation. The recipient(s) will accept the invite. MS Exchange responses with an ‘undeliverable: xxxx’ message of ‘Delivery has failed to these recipients or distribution lists:’ The name showing is of an ex-employee. At least the specific user does receive the invite acceptance on their end.
What we have done.
1) Cleared OL cache and deleted the .nk2 file at the client PC.
2) Tested invite with user using OL Web Access to remove client from equation. Still the undeliverable message comes up.
3) Exchange administrator has searched high and low for all references to the ex-employees name. And can find none.
4) User name is not in Active Directory. Checked all groups for her name.
We have just moved (Jan. 2009) to Exchange 2007. 2003 is still running in the background as all our user have yet to be migrated to Exchange 2007. Using Outlook 2003. Can not move to Outlook 2007 due to space on PC.
Question. Has anyone else had this happen? How do we remove the ex-employee from Exchange or Client?
