Expanding Partitions On Solaris 8

This is something I have started working on and as I continue to work on it I’ve come to 1 concusion … This is a nightmare.

Everything I’ve read says it can be done but it also says it will/could whip out your data. Has anyone ever done this? How did you get it to work correctly. My goal is to merge 2 partitions into 1 larger partition. so any help would be great.
