External Enclosure not working

I just bought a masscool UHB-360US external enclosure. Unfortunately when I plugged in the USB adapter it acts as if it is picking it up. It makes the noise but nothing happens. I figured its XP SP2 it should be plug-n-play. But obviously I was wrong. So I tried to install the drivers from the disk. Only has W2K and 98 drivers…wow thats not good. I dont know what I can do to get this working any suggestions…
