External keyboard for HP laptop

I’ve been having problems with my HP ZE5460 laptop, I emoved and cleaned teh keyboard but some keys still don’t work. In fact, one of them is sticking so it is a nuisance, can?t even open Word. Can I install an external keyboard and disable the internal one? If so, what needs to be done? I only use it as a desktop anyway, so I don’t mind loosing portability. Thanks.
