For a couple of years now, I have bee posting URLs to MS Technet articles when the articles have the fix required for a specific problem.
And I have posted links like the following:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;243574
And whenever you post a long link in a TR page, you get that phantom space added. Well, I just read an article on Daniel Petri’s web site (www.petri.co.il) that listed a new shortcut method that I like very much:
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=n
So, to hit the above Technet article I posted, this new way would be:
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=243574
Now, some of us also use tinyurl.com to post links, and those work great for the rest of the Internet. But now, at least for the Technet links, I don’t think tinyurl.com links are needed.
