Faster Internet Sharing 56k

Hello,
I am using a dial up connection to the internet, which is shared (college student). I am using Sygate software to share out the connection.
What I would love to know how to set up a DNS server in windows 2k Advanced server to freeup bandwidth and speed up my internet connection. Currently I am running W2k Professional for my gateway and w2k Server as a DC.
I am trying to learn this stuff, so any information tou can off would be a great help. I have only installed DNS, I don’t know where to go from here.
