I’m hoping someone will be able to point me some good information and statistics regarding service organizations. I’m preparing a budget proposal to get our department using the Portera ServicePort, and I need some supporting figures. Budgeting is tricky for some reason for the check-signers because it’s web-hosted and rented and not bought. I almost feel like I’m trying to get all my staff subscriptions to Wallpaper on company dollar. I had this same problem when I went after someone to get the pages for our team’s programs high search engine rankings: the company I knew would get the best results wanted to charge based on traffic (so, a modest by unpredictable recurring fee), and accounting flipped out. I finally convinced them it was a good model for us.
