File dates on server changing

We are running a Novell 5 server. Yesterday we noticed that several hundred commonly used files suddenly had the date of 1-Jan-1985 instead of the current date.

Has anyone heard of any virus/trojan/worm or bug that can cause this to happen?

We have scanned the server with McAffee and it came back clean.
