File Locks

Hello NT Gurus :

In Netware there was a parameter called FileLocks which was used to bump up the when a file is used more. Say for example if we have an Access database on the File Server and used by Multi User simultaneuosly, we can bump up thisparameter so that updating the database will not get affected in a Multi User environment. Is there a similar parameter in NT? Any articles on File Locking on NT will be appreciated. Thanks
