File/Print Sharing Problem

My 2 networked computers Win2000 and Win98 don’t seem to be seeing each other. I have the “sharing” hand under files and printers; but cannot seem to print to other printers and access other files. This option is enabled on both pc’s. Please advise what the problem is and how to fix it. Also, I have AOL and I’m trying to access internet connection sharing between the 2 pc’s. I’ve tried downloading trial “sharing” software; but it’s not happening. If you have any suggestions, they are welcomed. Thanks!
