Filtering Email on Exchange 5.5 Bridgehead Server

Does it anyone know a way of filtering email at the Bridgehead Server rather than at the Gateway?
Our Exchange 5.5 Gateway is at another location in the the United States. That location has been slow in bringing up an email filtering solution and I would like to try something immediately at our location. I would prefer doing at the server level. Any suggestions?
