Firefox Update for SuSE 10

I’m evaluating SuSE 10 (which seems quite good overall), but it comes with Firefox 1.0.

Since Firefox 1.5 is available for Linux, I’d like to update the SuSE installation, but the SuSE updater doesn’t seem to know there is a newer version of Firefox available.

Question 1: If Firefox 1.5 does work with SuSE 10, what’s the easiest way to do the update?

Question 2: Does SuSE tend to be a little slow in picking up new versions of applications?
