forest trust

HI sir,
In VMware i have two different domain
1>old.com <2>new.com
both domain domain & forest level in 2003 mode
i configured DNS & forwarder on both side
iam able to ping both domain with IP & FQDN
even iam getting error.what the reason

PLZ help me out
