Formatting Laptop

Hey all,
I gotta a Compaq laptop,and need to format it. I don’t have the driver CD for it or the restore CD. When i asked the dealer about the CDs he told me its there in another partition. I gotta a Drive C and another drive named as HP. When i click on it a small HP box appears, thats it. Now how do I format it and how do I boot the other partition or get the drivers from that partition? Any related idea do lemme know please?
