Free edition of Zone Alarm

As a user of the free edition of Zone Alarm I find the number of hits the program filters out through alerts is maximized at 500.
I then clear the alerts as I am not interested in who is trying to access my computer.

I use my computer constantly and it does not take too long for the 500 hits to max out.

I have tried to send this question to Zone Alarm , so far, with no success.

Can anyone tell me if once the 500 alert maximum is reached if the compter is still protected?
