I have been QA analyst for over 5 years. It is not challangeing anymore. So I have decided to change my field to Oracle DBA. Now I am going to classes and learning a lot about DBA work. But what I have found out that a Junior DBA makes like 45k where as I make 65k as a QA analyst. How would I be able to over come this salaary cut issue. I do not want to take a pay cut. I also heard that DBAs make lots of money. but how? 45k for junior position? that’s peanut. Also how would I write my DBA resume mixed with QA experience? Since I don’t have any experience in DBA but I am very good at it. I just need very little exposure to grasp everything. Any suggestions on how to write my DBA resume with QA background. Should I even mix these two? Thanksin advance.
