Getting developers to work together

by editor's response . Updated 23 years, 8 months ago

A peer is having a hard time getting a team of developers to work together, as featured in the Oct. 16 CIO Focus e-newsletter:

“I was hired six months ago to organize a project, but I’m having a hard time getting the team to work together withouttearing each other apart. The team consists of developers, each with a minimum of eight years experience and noteworthy accomplishments. They all have huge egos–each insists his or her way of doing things and solving problems is right. My boss is on my back, insisting that I learn to work with them and get things done. What should I do?”
