Getting the scoop on the industry.

Hi

I’m in data telecommunication in Canada and was wondering if anyone would have advise on how to get the pulse of the industry regarding employment opportunities, salaries, benefits, etc.

I don’t want to apply to a couple of jobs because I’m not looking to leave my present place of employment. I’m happy here. I just want to know how I stand vs. the industry. Anyways, like M.Corcodilos says, an interview is an investment for both sides, if I don’t go in with the full intention of changing employer, I’m not being honest to the other party, and the last thing I want to do, is waste someone’s time.
