I have an issue with the GPO not applying properly on new installs or reimaged machines. When the machine is joined to the domain is applies certain group policies. Part of the group policy is to push out the screensaver and the background.
When this is pushed out a new folder is created under the All Users profile (C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\profile). The profile folder contains the screen saver and the background and should give domain users modify access to the folder.
The folder gets pushed out fine, however the permissions are not being applied on the folder even though the policy is set to do so.
This is resulting in errors in event viewer and the user gets an error during log on that they cannot create the bitmap file resulting in the BGINFO not being displayed.
The error message occurs as BGINFO needs to write back to that folder but the user doesnt have permission to do so.
