Group Policy

I have windows 2000 domain.The Group policy is not being applied on client computers.
The domain name is stgeshita.com.
The error message is as follows:
Windows cannot access the registry information at\\stgeshita.com\sysvol\stgeshita.com\policies\{31b2f340-016d-11d2-945f-odco4fb984f9}\user\registry.pol with[5].
