I have a couple of questions regarding the hard disk imaging / data backup which are creating some confusion for me.
1 – I just want to know that If I have a 20GB hard drive imaged on a cd & in case my 20GB hard drive got damaged, then can i use that 20gb imaged cd to restore the system on a new 40gb hard drive on the same machine? i.e only change in the system is hard drive & all the components in the system are same.
2 – I have a 20GB hard drive filled with data & only available free space on this 20GB hard drive is 150MB. Now my question is this , that, can i image all 20GB hard disk ( including all systems files & data store on my disk i.e complete disk imaging ) & then restore that image created from the 20gb hard diskto a new 40GB hard drive on the same system?
Also if I make a complete 20GB image on cd-r/cd-rw then can i make this 20gb hard disk image on a single cd? or on multiple cd’s? & how can I restore the image from single or multiple cd’s back on a new 40gb hard drive on the same system?
