Hard Drive Error

After replacing my Sharp PC-AX20 Notebook corrupted Hard disk(Toshiba)with a new IBM), I tried installing the OS with the original sharp recovery CDs provided.

After answering 2 questions related to erasing all data on the new hard disk, error massage appears as below :

HARD DRIVE ERROR !! ENTER TO CONFIRM
AFTER ENTER >
(FUNCTION = 43)
ERROR STATUS = 3
R:\WIN98\IMAGE>

Appreciate anyone have similar experience to advice me how to install the recovery CDs on my notebook with a new hard disk.
