Hi there. I’m trying to install a second drive inot a PC. The original drive is an IDE, and working fine. The second drive that I’m adding on for more storage space is a SATA.
I’ve got power going to it, and it’s spinning up, and I’ve got the SATA cable plugged into the Motherboard fine, but I can’t get the drive to show up in the BIOS or under Disk management in windows. I’ve hooked the drive up to another pc with a USB adaptor, and managed to format it to NTFS, which no trouble at all. It’s just on this machine with the SATA cable that I’m having the trouble. Anything I’m doing wrong?
