Help Wireless not connecting – linksys/broadcom

Hi

I have a Gateway computer with a Broadcom 802.11g network adapter and linksys wireless modem hooked to a cable modem. My fiance tried to download rainbow 6 las vegas to the laptop a few days ago and the computer did not have the right sysytem requirements so we uninstalled the program. We have not been able to connect wirelessly ever since. It was working fine before then. Does anyone know what I may be able to do to fix???

The Device manager says the network adapter is working fine. The computer connects when plugged in through a Marvel Yukon fast ethernet controller.

Any help would be appreciated…..
