Help with windows xp disc setup

Hey i have Winodws xp home edition disc, now when I try to boot from disc it loads and all but after i accept the license’s agreement like 15 seconds later the screen goes black and it makes a patern of beeps like *BEEP,beep,BEEP,beep*. the first beep is a bit louder then the second beep. it will keep beeping until i unplug the computer.
