Home Internet LANs & Internet Caf?s

Hi I am wondering what people do for home or other small internet LANs? I have convinced my spouse of the wisdom of getting ADSL and would like to share it at home. I would like to run a W2K server that would be its own domain ( for education purposes )- but think that might get kind of complicated since the clients might have to know about two different DNS servers ( one on inside of firewall and from the ISP ( is that right? ). I might not learn as much – but would it be smarter to just get an “all-in-one” hardware solution with the DNS, DHCP, proxy-caching items all “built-in”?
