How do I create an .MSI file?

Last week MS released the critical security update that addressed the IE flaws. Once I tested the fix I wanted to deploy it to all of my clients (80 W2K desktops) using a software deployment package.
I haven’t found anything that will tell me if itis possible to create and .msi file for MS security updates. Does anyone know if it can be done easily?
