how do I reformat my toshiba A100, I have to install dreamweaver CS3, just

I have the windows vista upgrade cd and the recovery disks, but I do not know how to use the recovery disks, its just a bunch of files,I want to install dreamweaver CS3 but I think I need to reformat my computer forst, it won`t install
