how do i solve the black screen problem?

i am an IT specialist for a small business firm. on of the pcs developed this fault and i dnt seem to win. whats hapening is that whenever i turn it on, i shows the windows xp loading screen and then just go black. i tried repairing it with the Original XP cd. but still get the same results. any ideas on how to go about this?
