How do i track when and where an email adress was created?

first off is it possible to track it?.. An email account was made up with msn which forwarded an email on behalf of our company. the persons that received the email then emailed me back asking question. Someone had made up an email and was doing business transaction on behalf of us. can i track where exactly the email was made and when?
