How do the three versions compare to any Linux distro?

Without intending to start an OS war, I am wondering how a Linux distro compares to the three versions of Windows, just startup and shutdown. Different Linux distros might well have different times. But, testing all of them would be impractical. Maybe just pick a current distro from Ubuntu or Fedora, just to compare.
