This is to ask for help on how you manage the job and not the other way around which is what I have done.
I am “manager” to a two-person shop. (2 people include me. We had another person but big boss did not see need to fill position).
I am budget person, outsourcer, web admin, network admin, support desk, pc setup and repair, and software installer for all applications.
No support from the higher ups and I am more frustrated that I can say.
My “assistant” always reminds me she has a “life” and not going to kill herself to support them so who does my boss or other departments jump on — me. I can not fire her or warn her because I have been told it looks like it is your fault.
Why am I a *&^#@@@???? Guess!
Help much needed because now the boss is asking why to go out for sofware when we can just do it with “Excel”.
