How to change default login to local rather than domain?

Here is my situation.

Our salesman?s WinXP laptop is rarely connected to the domain here at the office and I would like to set it up to default to the local machine when he boots up rather than the office domain. It seems like Ive done this in the past but I dont know how I did it now.
