I manage the Project Management Department and are faced with the task of moving over 4000 people to a newly constructed facility. The move schedule is quite aggressive. Are their any suggestions on how I might better the communication to our users as to how the move will take place. Managing expectations is important. Our somewhat stellar service provided by our Information Systems staff will slip due to staffing issues brought on by the dedication of staff to the relocation effort. I need the users to understand that we may take longer to meet their needs under the workload we will be faced with. Has anyone dealt with this or a similar situation and what advice can you give pertaining to user interaction during such a large project?
