Sounds crass – I know. However, I am newley appointed to oversee IT in a successful large school which involves the curriculum and the network management/support team. I am fairly technical but not a techie.
I feel that our network team are sometimes a bit out of their depth. They do not release any admin rights to anyone – even me at moment! This includes print queues at one extreme and writing to shared folders.
Does anyone know of any blueprints or standard methods/policies of allowing rights and priviledges?
Anyone else in the same boat?
Your comments and observations are appreciated.
