How to get experience after the certs!

I teach A+ and Basic Networking. Students invariable ask me how to get experience so that they are more marketable. My suggestion to them is to VOLUNTEER YOUR SERVICES. Most not for profit organizations (Veterans Administration, Good Will, etc.) can not afford the high prices for IT staff. You will learn A LOT and in a short time have very marketable skills, not to mention giving some good organizations a helping hand, which by the way is tax deductible! So everyone wins!
